These were “zeroes” for us. We resupplied for our last leg of the journey, made some zipper repairs and did some things around the house. It’s amazing how hard this trip has been on gear. Part of the resupply was adding some warmer clothing. I also switched to light weight boots for more warmth and better protection from the wet terrain. They are comfortable boots but in no way as comfortable as my Altra Olympus trail shoes. Jerry enjoyed a pizza at Northlake Tavern. Being in town is a real culture shock for us. Almost cannot stand being in stores or events with large groups. We just want to escape back onto the trail. But then again we are excited to be done with the trail and be back home. It is a real dilemma. Not sure how long it will take us to integrate back into society. One shocker is that Jerry did not get a donut the entire time we were in town. He also confirmed a 60 pound weight loss.
