Day 174 - 9/19/18

Mile 2427.9 to 2450.2 for 22.3 miles with an elevation increase of 6115 and decrease of 4264. This was our biggest elevation gain in a single day to date. Hiking at 6:50 we were in camp at 5:45 by Glacier Lake, elevation 4823. We had a much warmer night at the lower elevation, but it was still cold. Fortunately we had no dew or condensation on the tent. Weather was partly cloudy and the trail was a mix of very rocky or very nice. Another spectacular day of views. Today it was Cathedral Rock, Mt Daniel and Mt Hinman as well as Mt Baring later in the day. When the sun was not on us it was quite cold. Temperatures have been dropping as early as 3:30 since we left Snoqualmie Pass.
