Mile 2208.3 to 2232.5 for 24.2 miles with an elevation increase of 3605 and decrease of 3561. We were hiking at 6:50 and into camp at 5:45. Camp was by a spring at an elevation of 4807, 3.62 miles north of forest road 23. After 10.48 miles we came to our first water. After this water was plentiful. Streams were flowing which they were not previously to this point in Washington. We were hiking in big timber and the trail was great all day. Saw several PCT hikers but they all went into Trout Lake. A shuttle runs from forest road 23 into Trout Lake 3 times a day. The spring we camped by was not visible from the trail and took a few minutes to find. It was cold, clear and plentiful as were the huckleberries by camp. We crossed several roads between the two wilderness areas (Indian Heaven and Mt. Adams). None of them would measure up to the massive dirt roads in California. Weather was great today.
