Shoot! Pictures posted for yesterday go with today’s post and the ones posted today go with yesterday’s post.

Mile 1925.2 to1952.6 for 27.4 miles plus 1.2 miles off the PCT to get into Elk Lake Resort where we spent the night in the hiker section of the campground. Our elevation gain was 2083 feet and a decrease of 2585. We woke to a smokey, chilly day. The smoke continued all day. We extended time between breaks to be between 4-5 miles so we could get into the resort and have a dinner before they closed. We began hiking at 6:50 and arrived at Elk Lake at 6:15. We then picked up a resupply box, set up camp, got in the queue for showers and ate. Today we hiked through one small burn, big timber and past numerous lakes and stagnant ponds. The trail was good with only a few downed logs to go over after entering the Three Sisters Wilderness. It is surprising us that we are keeping pace with many much younger hikers. We are now 3 days ahead of schedule and in need of a “zero”.
