Mile 1889.3 to 1906.2 for 16.9 miles plus 1.3 miles off the PCT to get into Shelter Cove Resort where we camped for the night. Shelter Cove sits at an elevation of 4820. We were hiking at 6:45 and into Shelter Cove at 3:00. Hiking was quite chilly for the first 3 hours until the sun hit us. We were in timber most of the day and went by many stagnant ponds. The trail was great and views gorgeous. Smokey skies did not happen until after about 11:00. Our water sources were at 9 miles(Mountain Creek) then the resort. At Shelter Cove we reconnected with Nick who we last saw just past Mike’s Place over 1700 miles ago. Picked up our resupply box and new shoes, showered, did laundry and ate.
