Mile 1586.1 to 1566.1 for 20 miles. Elevation increase of 3543 and decrease of 4378. Total PCT miles 898.62. Camped at an elevation of 6309.7 (outlet from Mosquito Lake). Hiking at 7am and into camp at 4:30. Woke to a very cool morning that remained cool until approximately noon. Encountered several hikers going NOBO. Not sure how many skipped the Sierras. Trail was in big timber and beautiful meadows most of the day. The Trinity Alps Wilderness is gorgeous. Toward end of day we crossed above Boulder Lakes where the terrain changed to more rocky and desert like. We felt strong today and the creek by camp was deep enough to rinse dirt off and soak feet which was a very nice treat. However, Jerry’s NeoAir has sprung a leak. We are planning another 20 mile day tomorrow due to water locations.
