Day 60 - 5/28/18 (Memorial Day)

MIle 728.16 to 741.69 for 13.53 miles. Camped at 9600ft at Diaz Creek. Woke at 6am to a very wet tent and heavy frost on the ground. Did not leave until 8:30 to dry the tent. Got into camp by 4pm. I now realized the last few days have been difficult since I haven’t eaten much since Kennedy Meadows. Last night was the first time I was not hungry when we arrived in camp. Nothing sounds good to me, I’m getting hot and cold flashes, very tired and every muscle hurts. Jerry carried my bear bin again. Glad we are a team, I had carried extra water in the desert when he had knee problems. Ran into a local charter pilot who confirmed the rumors of heavy snow north of Forrester Pass. This supported our idea of flipping forward from Lone Pine to Ashland Oregon and hike hiking back south back to Lone Pine California. We are very disappointed with the heavy condensation inside the tents rainfly every morning. There is no reason for anyone to carry a bear bin before Lone Pine. Our high point today was 10,700ft while yesterday it was 10,600ft.
