It was a cold night so we left camp at 7am. Mile 246.48 to mile 262.36. Elevation gain approximately 1100 ft. It was windy all day but extremely windy after 12:30. After being blown off trail for over 2 hours we set up camp at a tent site we found. The elevation was 6874 ft. Once again all guylines staked out and rocks on all stakes. The dirt is unbelievable. As soon as I lay out the pads on our tent floor they are covered in dirt. Our mesh serves only as a sieve keeping out the big stuff. We are more dirty than we have ever been. Jerry does not like the power greens I added to the ramen. I think it tastes great. He attributes that to my love of green smoothies. Only 3.76 miles to Hwy. 18 where we hitch to Big Bear Lake.
