Very hot and dry stretch. Thank goodness for the Trail Angels who maintain the water caches.

Dawn writes:  Day 6:  Jerry and Kathy just checked in from 3rd Gate (mile 91.2)  after a 15 mile waterless stretch from Scissors Crossing where they camped last night.

Kathy reports that the water caches that the Trail Angels put in are critical to the success of making it through these dry, hot (92 degree) desert stretches. Jerry says he's has been through 7+ ltrs. of water just by 1pm.

They hope to make it to Warner Springs tomorrow where they will have a full day of rest (2 nights), pick up their boxes, check the weather, plan the next leg and update this blog.
